Fresh Snatch! 022

Italian Pirupa is on a hot run of form… his last outing for Nick Curly’s Cecille was one of the most charted tracks of the month over on respected website Resident Advisor, so it’s no wonder he’s been snapped up for this new EP on Riva Starr’s Snatch following outings on Defected, Cècille, Viva Music, Saved

‘Money’ is warm, churning tech house at its best.  There’s a muffled sense of euphoria in the synths and plenty of funk from start to finish.  It’s a floor filling tune for sure, and so too is ‘Get My Love’ with its female vocal, slinky tech percussion and wobbling synth lines.

‘Break Mambo’ is a more broken beat, with thuddy kicks patting out a rhythm as crisp percussion jiggles about above.  It’s unhinged,   with some Snatch! Ready horns and instrumentation colouring the stop-start groove at the mid-point.

This is a well rounded package offering something for all sorts of dancefloors at all times of day. So too is it a another winning effort from the on form Pirupa…
