Having toured extensively with the likes of Foreign Beggars and many more showcasing his unique approach to beatboxing and music creation at many of the countries major festivals in 2010, THePETEBOX has carried momentum in full swing into 2011.
Introducing himself to the world of youtube, his first hd video of his reinterpretation of Pixies classic ‘Where Is My Mind’ went viral, amassing 1.5 million views and counting and receiving accolades from Blink 182’s bassist Mark Hopper, MTV US and the Pixies themselves who put it on their website.
This has set the foundations for THePETEBOX’s first studio album, which is near to completion and will be ready for release in 2012. To accompany the album approach, Pete’s innovative live set has evolved further still and now features the use of effects, more loopers and a guitar to build layers into fully crafted tracks, integrating his winning beatbox skills with the new setup with stunning results.
Despite his hard work on the album, this year Pete has already played all around the UK, Poland, Ayia Napa, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Belfast, another victorious Glastonbury set and his recent UK headline minitour saw him sell out venues in Nottingham and London. Mid July saw him warm up a 2000 strong Ayia Napa crowd for Chase and Status and he’s already rocked a handful of uk festivals.
The summer has seen him play Leeds/Reading Festival, V Festivals, BugJam, a host of other festivals around the country.
